"Strawberry" Leopard Discovered 12/03/2012

This article is that some tourists in a safari saw a leopard with a pinkish color in South Africa.

Many people saw this leopard many times but not until one of the safari workers took a picture

and send it to the U.S Wild Cat Group. This is a very rare animal that was never seen and they

say that is a genetic conditions that changed the colors of the animal fur. Erythrism is the

alteration of the skin color and is very usual on animals like raccoons and coyotes but is the first

time that hunters see it on a leopard.

this interested me because some of my last articles had been about animal alteration on there

skin colors and is very weird to see so many animal changes because of genetics and is

something very rare.

This article connects to my life because my grandmother ones found some Little leopards on her

farm and when I read the title of the article I found it interesting.

Bizarre "King of Wasps" Found in Indonesia 27/03/2012

A new insect called “the King of Wasps” was found in Indonesia. This animal is about 2 inches long, its fully black and very bizarre because of its very dark color and its . They found this wasp on the island of Sulawesi. In 2009 there were more than 100,000 insects species registered in the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The scientists found the King of Wasps in a nickel mine while looking for normal wasps. One thing that the scientists found out about this wasp is that it is very venomous although they are not sure if they have seen one alive.

This article interested me because its impressive how everyday a new animal is discovered specially insects thanks to all the new technology that we have to distinguish the species.

This article is connected to my daily life because I never know if I can find a new species of any type of animal in my house because in the back of my house there is a lot of vegetation.

Monagas, Venezuela Oil Spill Fouls Guarapiche River 02/11/2012

In Monagas, Venezuela was an oil spil on the river Guarapiche because a ruptured pipeline broke. They are not sure on how much oil was spilled on the river, but in the other hand, they have taken most out of it. The Governo of the Monagas sate said that the stay was on emergency because of the oil spil.

This article interest me because its happening in the country that I live in and its interesting to know what is happening.

"White," Albino-like Penguin Found in Antarctica 01/12/2012

This article is about a albino penguin. This was found in the Antarctica and this mean that this animal can be in dangereus. In the Antarctica the back part of a penguin is to camouflage in the water but if all this penguins gets albino they mid not be safe enough to survive. They have found many cases of this animals and they are not called albino but this is called Isabellisim.

This article interest me because I like penguins and I found it very weird to see a white pinguin. I thought that the article was about a new specie of penguins.

This article is about the evolution of the skull of big cats. In 2004 some paleontologists found the oldest skull of a tiger yet. The skull was a combination of a tiger's and a jaguar's. This animal was very similar to modern big cats. The skull of this ancient tiger was very similar to the skull of the jaguar but his teeth are like the tiger's ones. In addition to the teeth being different, his body is smaller that the jaguar's. The tiger and the jaguar have more similarities than differences.

This article interested me because big cats are endangered and we need to try to protect them from extinction. One way of doing this is by promoting their reproduction. Also another thing that interested me is that during millions of years big cats had not changed much to adapted because there body is very well made and the changes over the years has not been much.
